Frequently Asked Questions

  • I am currently an out-of-network provider with most major insurance companies. This means I don't bill insurance directly, but you may be eligible for reimbursement depending on your plan's benefits. Please contact your insurance company to verify coverage and understand any potential out-of-pocket costs. I can provide a Superbill for you to submit for reimbursement.

  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space free from distractions during your virtual appointment. Test your audio and video beforehand to minimize technical difficulties, and be ready to engage openly and honestly. Remember that confidentiality is still maintained in the virtual setting.

  • It’s completely normal to feel hesitant about starting therapy; it takes courage to reach out! A brief phone consultation can help you determine if my approach and expertise align with your needs and concerns. We can discuss your situation further and explore whether therapy might be a good fit.

  • My standard cancellation policy requires at least 24 hours’ notice; otherwise, the full fee will be charged for the missed session. This allows me to offer that time slot to another client in need and helps cover administrative costs. I understand emergencies happen, so we can discuss any unique circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

  • My standard session fee is $160 for an individual session. I have a few spots for a sliding scale fee. I currently accept payments via credit card through my HIPAA compliant database. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding fees or payment options.

  • The initial session is primarily focused on getting to know you, your goals for therapy, and gathering relevant background information. We’ll also review confidentiality policies and answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. This provides a foundation for building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship.
